What makes me so happy about this is that she isn’t telling you you must love your body or that you are obligated to. She saying you have permission to. And that’s important, because there are a lot of reasons why people have trouble with self-love. But the idea that you aren’t supposed to love your body, that you aren’t allowed to for whatever reason, needs to be crushed. If you can’t love you body right now, if your body causes you pain or disphoria or distress, you aren’t required to love it. But you are ALLOWED to. You are entitled to the chance to make peace with your body, if you ever reach a point where you are ready to. No one else should be trying to stop you.
Sometimes I see or read things, and I didn’t realize that I needed them until they are two GIFs of Nicki Minaj and some amazing commentary that come across my dash and I instantly burst in to tears and feel a weight lifted off my chest.
This is so important
i actually don’t want the western media to focus on pakistan too much. i just know they’re going to twist it and make it out to be that pakistanis are barbaric and awful and i don’t think i’m going to be ready to face that this time. this might be selfish but i just can’t deal with the west looking at us in that manner again. besides, we don’t need them. it’s not like they care about us anyways.
god gifted me with thick eyebrows of dark hair and for that reason i am #blessed to have endured my awkward eyebrow phase that every brown girl goes through as a preteen when she is unaware of how to handle and fully embrace this incredible power of having amazing natural brows that need no eyebrow pencil magic
sisters don’t let sisters tweeze their eyebrows into oblivion out of shame and embarrassment caused by white girls with nonexistent eyebrows
It saddens me that when it came to Ferguson, everyone and I mean EVERYONE from different nationalities and walks of life was aware of the situation, spreading awareness and defending the protestors but barely anyone knows about Pakistan.
The Pakistani protestors right now…
THERE IS SO MUCH POLITICAL TURMOIL GOING ON IN PAKISTAN THAT NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT. PROTESTERS ARE STANDING UP AGAINST THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND THE POLICE ARE ATTACKING THEM WITH TEAR GAS AND PLASTIC BULLETS. ITS LITERALLY A LARGE SCALE FERGUSON AND THE MEDIA IS PAYING NO ATTENTION TO IT
fun fact: once in biology my teacher told us that “if you’re ever crying wipe the tears all over your face and they’ll help clear up your skin” then he explained that because tears are designed to clear dust and dirt from your eyes and will do the same for your skin and clear up acne and i remember thinking “excellent, fandom will make me beautiful”
this isn’t how i want to be remembered
People were protesting outside the parliament demanding Nawaz Sharif to resign and because they say that the election which brought him to power last year was rigged. Police have fired tear gas and rubber bullets on anti-government protesters attempting to storm his official residence . Basically people are demanding that Nawaz Sharif to resign but he refuses to do so and people were peacefully protesting and police have been firing and throwing tear gas at innocent civilians
